About Me

I have a background spanning software development, engineering leadership, cloud and digital transformation. My experience has ranged from building software to leading engineering teams and helping organisations make decisions around technology, resilience, security and change.

That experience has shaped how I approach AI adoption.

The important question is not simply “What can AI do?” but “Where can it genuinely improve the way an organisation works?”

Human-First AI Adoption

AI can create significant opportunities, but introducing technology does not automatically create value.

Successful adoption means considering the people and processes involved alongside the technology. It means understanding where AI can augment human capability, where automation may be more appropriate, and where human judgement and oversight should remain.

The aim is practical improvement rather than AI for its own sake.

Independent by Design

iMAGnexus is independent and is not tied to a particular AI platform, product or technology vendor.

Recommendations are based on your organisation's needs and the problems that need to be addressed.

The appropriate answer might be generative AI, conventional automation, process improvement, better use of existing technology — or deciding that an opportunity is not worth pursuing yet.

That independence is an important part of the service.

Responsible by Default

AI adoption also needs to consider risk and responsibility.

Depending on the opportunity, this can include privacy and data protection, information security, accuracy and reliability, transparency, human oversight and governance.

Where relevant, assessments and recommendations are informed by recognised responsible AI practices and regulatory developments, including the EU AI Act.

The objective is not to make AI adoption unnecessarily difficult. It is to help organisations adopt it with appropriate controls and a clear understanding of the risks.
